Paid memberships are coming soon

We would love to welcome you into the community. By becoming a member you will earn an avatar (which we had designed form scratch by an amazing designer called Aljosha Daele), you will also be given a level counter. We want to reward users for their participation to the site: the more you interact and your content is liked by other users, the higher your level gets. Once you reach Level 5, you will be given your first reward by one of our animal-friendly sponsors.

You can still blog free of charge but you won’t have an avatar or levels…or access to animal-friendly goodies!

To become a sponsor, click on the ‘Become a Sponsor’ page and select whether you are a charity or company. Non- profit organisations will get discounted rates from us due to your charity status. Please give as much detail about your organisation when you fill out the form, this will then be sent to us and we will get back to you soon.

Create an account by clicking on the ‘Registration’ button in the top right hand corner of the site.

You will then be taken to a registration page where you can choose which option you would like.

Please then fill out the form, choose the membership in the drop down box and add your details.

If you select one of our monthly subscriptions, you will then be taken to a payment page. Once the payment has gone through you will receive a confirmation email; along with your own avatar and level.

To maximise security on the site we have added an additional email confirmation step. Although it is annoying, it means that the site is secure, keeping your information safe.

If you select ‘Free Member’, then you will be taken straight to your account page where you will be able to post content.

To post a blog please click ‘Profile’ in the right hand menu (when logged in).

To see your past activity click ‘Timeline’ and to make a new one blog click ‘Create New Post’. You can also use ‘The Raft’ to do a ‘Quick Share’. 

After clicking ‘create new post’, you will see the blog writing section. Please then give your blog a title. You will see below it says ‘Add Media’, this is for inserting photos into the blog itself. There is also a toolbar below this where you can customise your text.

Once you have written your blog, to the right of the text box, it says ‘Featured Photo’. Your featured photo will be the cover photo of your blog and show alongside the title before people read it.

The ‘Post Categories’ and ‘Hashtags’, will help people find your posts. Please select from the range of ‘Post Categories’ and insert your own hashtags, at the bottom of the page. To create a hashtags, either type the word and press enter, or type the word then leave a comma before starting another.

You can either press ‘Publish’ or ‘Draft’ if you want to come back and proof it later. After you click ‘Sumbit’, it will show on your profile as well as The Raft®.

When you are signed into your account, click on the avatar from ‘Profile’ and you will be able to choose from our default selection or update using your own photo.
